The Last Tycoon is an American period drama television series based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's final novel of the same name. In the fourth episode of the series, Monroe Stahr (Matt Bomer) is determined to make a movie about the life of his late father, a Hollywood mogul. He enlists the help of his assistant, Kathleen Moore (Kelsey Grammer), to help him find the perfect script and cast. Meanwhile, Pat Brady (Kelsey Grammer) is determined to make a movie of his own, and he and Monroe clash over the direction of the studio. As the two men battle for control, they must also contend with the machinations of the studio's head of production, Cecelia Brady (Rosemarie DeWitt). With the help of Kathleen, Monroe and Pat must find a way to make their movies without destroying their friendship.
