Outlander s01e03 is set in 1743 Scotland and follows the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to the 18th century. In this episode, Claire is taken in by the MacKenzie clan and begins to learn the ways of the highlanders. She also meets Jamie Fraser, a young warrior who is determined to protect her. As Claire and Jamie grow closer, they must also face the dangers of the time, including the looming threat of the Jacobite rebellion.
